Pure Storage’s quiet 9% jump is the market betting the AI storage trade is not over

PSTG’s 9.1% jump looks like a re-rating, not a random squeeze. The market is paying up for a company still growing double digits while proving its AI and hyperscaler story is showing up in recurring demand.

PSTG’s quiet rally makes sense to us because this is no longer a generic storage name getting a generic infrastructure multiple. Everpure is putting up the kind of numbers that support an AI data-platform re-rating: revenue growth is still running at 15.6% year over year, EPS growth is 48.5%, and the company has already shown real hyperscaler and AI traction in public filings. When a stock jumps 9.1% without a clean headline burst, that usually means investors are repricing the underlying story, and here the story is durable demand rather than hype. The TickerSpark Score backs that up with a 76 overall, driven by a 95 Growth score and 88 Financial Health score.

The cleanest bull argument is that recurring demand is building faster than the old storage narrative gives Everpure credit for. In fiscal Q2 2026, subscription ARR reached $1.8 billion, up 18% year over year, while remaining performance obligations climbed to $2.8 billion, up 22%. That matters more than a flashy one-quarter product headline because it shows customers are committing to the platform over time, and that is exactly what investors want to see from an AI infrastructure winner.

The second point is that the growth is not just theoretical platform talk. That same quarter delivered $861.0 million in revenue, up 13%, with subscription services revenue of $414.7 million, up 15%, plus $150.1 million in free cash flow. On a trailing basis, revenue growth stands at 15.6%, net income growth at 76.3%, and EPS growth at 48.5%, which is a strong mix for a company with a 70.2% gross margin. Those are not the numbers of a commoditized box seller; they are the numbers of a business with pricing power, software-like economics, and expanding monetization.

The AI angle also has more substance than many investors probably assumed. Everpure has highlighted an industry-first design win with a top-four hyperscaler, a partnership with CoreWeave, and certification tied to NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD environments. More recently, it rolled out AI-era architecture messaging and new AI-ready data offerings in June, reinforcing that management is building around high-performance workloads rather than hoping to be adjacent to them. Against that backdrop, today’s move looks less like speculation and more like the market catching up to a company that has already been executing.

The obvious pushback is valuation. PSTG trades at 114.74 times trailing earnings, 6.59 times sales, and 61.45 times EV/EBITDA, which leaves very little room for a stumble. The TickerSpark Score reflects that tension too: Valuation is just 40 even as Growth sits at 95. If the market decides Everpure is still just a mid-teens grower in a competitive hardware category, that multiple can compress fast.

There is also a fair argument that the chart is not screaming momentum leadership yet. PSTG has underperformed the broader technology sector by 18.8 percentage points year to date, and the latest technical snapshot showed only a modest position above the 50-day average with an RSI of 49.29. Even so, that is exactly why this move matters: the stock was not priced like a consensus AI darling, and a headline-free 9.1% jump suggests investors are starting to close that gap before the next major proof point arrives.

That leaves PSTG looking like a buy-the-business, not chase-the-narrative setup. We would respect the fact that this is an expensive stock, but the combination of double-digit revenue growth, rising ARR, strong backlog-style demand through RPO, and credible hyperscaler exposure is strong enough to justify a bullish stance. This is one of the cleaner AI infrastructure re-rating stories outside the usual chip names.

What we would watch now is simple: the next earnings update needs to keep ARR and RPO growing at a healthy clip and show that AI demand is still translating into committed spend. If those recurring-demand metrics roll over, the valuation becomes a real problem fast. Until that happens, the market’s quiet message is hard to miss: the AI storage trade is not over, and PSTG is being repriced like a real participant in it.

Pure Storage’s stealth rally says Wall Street is still underestimating its reacceleration

PSTG’s 9.1% jump looks less like a random spike and more like a delayed repricing of a business that just reaccelerated hard. Wall Street is still treating this as a storage name when the numbers now point to a cleaner growth story with improving earnings power.

Pure Storage’s stealth rally is the market front-running another beat

PSTG’s 9.1% jump looks less like a random squeeze and more like the market pricing in another upside quarter. The reason is simple: Everpure’s latest results showed AI-storage demand turning into 35% revenue growth, stronger backlog, and higher full-year guidance.

Pure Storage’s quiet breakout is the market front-running an AI data-infrastructure rerating

Pure Storage’s 9.1% jump looks like the market finally paying up for an AI data-infrastructure story that has been building in plain sight. Mid-teens revenue growth, explosive EPS growth, and a fresh AI-ready product push make this look more like the start of a rerating than a random spike.
