“How to Claim Your Stake in Anthropic’s ‘Second IPO’ Windfall” is the headline from Matt McCall’s McCall Innovation Report, sold by Monument Traders Alliance with The Second IPO Blueprint. It points readers toward Amazon as the way to ride a private-AI investment into a possible public-market windfall.
The pitch says Amazon put more than $60 billion into OpenAI, made its biggest startup bet, and bought into Anthropic while Anthropic was still private. Now, it says, Anthropic’s IPO is days away. We identify the headline stock below, with confidence of 92/100.
The deadline deserves its own check. So does the word “investment.”
What the promotion gave away
The fingerprint is unusually specific: Amazon’s large OpenAI commitment, its early minority stake in Anthropic, and the jump from Anthropic’s roughly $20 billion private valuation in 2023 to a $380 billion post-money valuation announced in its February 2026 Series G round. Those clues point most strongly to Amazon, not to Anthropic itself.
The same pitch is also branded as “Second IPO,” “Second IPOs,” and Anthropic’s “Second IPO.” Those names refer to the same sales argument. Separate bonus reports add thinner, tentative matches involving RELX, ADP, Autodesk and GRAIL, but they’re guesses rather than confirmed answers.
The stock behind Anthropic’s Second IPO Windfall
The headline answer is Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN). Amazon’s February 27, 2026 announcement described a $50 billion equity investment in OpenAI, while also describing a separate $100 billion AWS commercial commitment over eight years. That is the strongest clue in the promotion, even though the copy turns two different commitments into one oversized investment figure.
The Anthropic trail fits too. Anthropic’s September 25, 2023 announcement said Amazon would invest up to $4 billion for a minority stake. Anthropic later said Amazon’s total investment had reached $8 billion. Amazon made that bet while Anthropic was private, and Anthropic’s later Series G announcement put its post-money valuation at $380 billion. The pieces converge on Amazon cleanly.
The bonus material is less settled. The tentative matches are RELX, ADP and Autodesk for “The Great AI Integration,” plus GRAIL for “Machine Medicine.” We could pin down those four as plausible clue matches, but not as facts about the publisher’s complete lists. No ticker was proposed for the separate “Electrification of Everything” report, so there’s nothing responsible to name there.

Every claim, checked
The claim-by-claim checks below separate the parts that company announcements and filings support from the parts where the promotion has stretched the wording. A match means the underlying clue is documented; it doesn’t mean the sales pitch survives intact.
That distinction matters here. Amazon really did make major private-AI investments. The dollar figure and the implied IPO timetable are another matter.
| The promotion claims | Verdict | What we found |
|---|
| Amazon put more than $60 billion into OpenAI | Overstated | Amazon's February 27, 2026 announcement described a $50 billion OpenAI equity investment, while its separate AWS commercial commitment was described as $100 billion over eight years; the promotion conflates those commitments. |
| Amazon's OpenAI investment is its biggest bet on a single startup | Checks out | Amazon's February 2026 OpenAI announcement described a $50 billion equity commitment, larger than Amazon's announced Anthropic commitment of up to $29 billion, supporting the claim that it is Amazon's largest startup bet. |

Where the pitch outran the record
“Amazon put more than $60 billion into OpenAI” — Amazon's February 27, 2026 announcement described a $50 billion OpenAI equity investment, while its separate AWS commercial commitment was described as $100 billion over eight years; the promotion conflates those commitments.
“RELX has amassed proprietary accounting knowledge” — LexisNexis documents accounting resources within its 1,400-source tax and accounting library, but the official materials more clearly establish proprietary legal content than a wholly proprietary accounting knowledge base.
“ADP helps businesses manage their money” — ADP provides payroll, pay insights, benefits and retirement administration, but its 2026 Form 10-K describes workforce and pay management rather than general corporate money-management or treasury services.
“ADP's AI agents can take entire tasks off employees' hands” — ADP says its agents can take action on payroll and HR workflows, but its announcement also emphasizes human oversight, so the claim that they remove entire tasks from employees' hands is too broad.

What is the deadline actually attached to? The promotion says Anthropic’s IPO is days away, but the material here supplies no checkable IPO date. A private funding round and a $380 billion post-money valuation aren’t the same thing as a scheduled public listing.
We received this campaign on one day, October 6, 2026. That record is too thin to judge whether the deadline rolls. For now, the countdown is an assertion in the promotion, not a date we can verify against an exchange filing or company announcement.
Other pitches from the same analyst
This is the second Matt McCall promotion we’ve identified. The earlier “The Great AI Shock” pitch pointed to Teradyne, Inc. (TER). We haven’t assigned a performance comparison to that earlier identification here, so this is a ledger entry, not a verdict on a track record.
Setting the pitch aside: is it any good?
The promotion’s central claim is simple: Amazon made enormous bets on private AI companies, Anthropic’s valuation has exploded, and Amazon is the stock that lets investors claim the next IPO windfall. The first link holds. Amazon invested in Anthropic while it was private, and it later announced a much larger OpenAI equity commitment.
The weak link is the sales copy’s compression of those facts. Amazon’s announcement described $50 billion of OpenAI equity and a separate $100 billion AWS commercial commitment over eight years, not more than $60 billion invested in OpenAI. And Anthropic’s $380 billion private valuation doesn’t prove an IPO is imminent. That’s a valuation milestone wearing an IPO countdown costume.
Amazon can still be worth owning on its own merits, but it’s a complicated proxy for Anthropic. Buying AMZN buys Amazon’s operating businesses and an indirect exposure to private-AI investments, not a direct Anthropic stake available at a known public-market price. If Anthropic never lists on the timetable implied by the pitch, the centerpiece of the argument loses its clock.
The bonus ideas form a theme rather than a single basket: AI applied to legal work, payroll and HR, design software, and cancer detection. GRAIL and Autodesk have the cleanest clue fits among the tentative matches, while RELX and ADP require more generous readings of the wording. They may offer different investment cases, but the shared “AI takes over corporate America” label doesn’t make their businesses interchangeable.
How confident are we? 92 out of 100. We identified Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN) from the promotion's own clues and checked 21 of its claims against filings, earnings calls, ownership records, market data and public reporting. This is our analysis, not the publisher's disclosure — we have no relationship with them.
