Returns are measured from the day we published our identification, not the promotion's own date — we can't know when a given reader saw the pitch, so this is the one starting point that is identical for everyone. Credibilityis a 0–100 grade of how well someone's claims survive checking against SEC filings, earnings calls, ownership records and market data. Saying only things the record backs up scores 100. Points come off for every claim that didn't hold: a little when a claim is worded so it can't be checked at all, more when it overstates what the record shows, and the most when the record flat-out contradicts it — vague costs a little, exaggerating costs more, fabricating costs the most. Hover any score for the exact claim-by-claim tally. An asterisk means fewer than 30 checked claims — a perfect score on a dozen claims is a start, not a verdict. Claims are checked by our automated research system against primary sources; like any research process it can make mistakes, and every verdict here is our opinion of the public record, not a statement about anyone's intent.
